Founding Editor: Kathy Halliday
Kathy Halliday is a 23 year old graduate of the Creative Writing and English Literature BA (Hons) programme at York St John University, where she is also currently a Creative Writing MA student. Her creative and critical works can be found online and in print at Pastiche Magazine, The Cadaverine, Turbulence Poetry, Little Fiction, The City Fox, Beyond the Walls: New Writing from York St John University and Texts & Contexts: English Literature and History Extracts 2013. She lives in York & blogs over at Feathers in the Rain.
Poetry Editor: Vicki Bartram
Vicki Bartram is a writer based in York. She specializes in poetry that is short and unsettling. She has a fondness for the supernatural and the dark side of life, specifically in nature, sex and relationships. She has been published internationally both online and in print and her poetry has been highly placed in local poetry competitions. She is also the poetry co-editor for Indigo Rising UK.
Prose Editor: Evie Johnson
Evie Johnson is a third year Creative Writing and English Literature student at York St John University. She enjoys writing screenplays, short fiction and the occasional poem. One of her poems was selected to appear as part of Create ‘12 at University. She is also interested in Surrealism and the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Her favourite writers include Franz Kafka, Arthur Conan Doyle and Federico Garcia Lorca.
Co-Editor in Poetry: Christy Hall
Christy Hall is a Yorkshire born poet. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in Poetry and Prose Fiction from the University of Hull in 2010. Since then he has had his poetry published across two continents; extensively online and in print. He came third in the annual Fathom prize for Poetry in 2010 and second in the inaugural Ryedale prize for poetry in 2012. In early 2013 Fire Hazard Press published his debut chapbook Later, You Returned to the Sea. He is currently writing towards his first full length collection. His words often reference the band that he admires the most – Modest Mouse.
Illustrator: Nicola Spencer
Nicola Spencer is a freelance artist and illustrator currently based in East Yorkshire. She studied painting and printmaking at the Glasgow School of Art, and graduated with a B.A Honours Degree in June 2012. Nicola has recently had her work selected for exhibitions in both Hull and York, and in September 2012 she started up a creative design business under the name of Alice Blue Designs.
